What You’ll Find at the Festival

The Utah Kite Festival is built around themed areas, so every member of the family has something to enjoy from the moment you arrive.

🪁 Kite Flying Area

The main open space to fly your kite and watch the exhibitions light up the sky.

🎈 Kids’ Area

Games, hands-on activities, and experiences designed especially for children.

🎭 Entertainment Area

Live performances, dance, music, and shows for the whole family throughout the day.

🌎 Countries Pavilion

Spaces where communities share their culture, traditions, food, art, and stories from their home countries.

🍔 Food Area

Food trucks and a variety of food and drink options to keep the whole family going.

Local businesses, entrepreneurs, and artisans offering products and services for the whole family.

Nonprofits, schools, government agencies, and community groups sharing programs and resources for families.

FAQ

What are the rules to participate in the festival?

Just be kind and courteous, ask for help if you need, offer help if you can, and make new friends while building and flying your kite.

Are there live performances at the festival? Or is it purely focused on flying kites?

Yes! we have live music hours, professional dancers, and special performances every year.

Can assistants buy kites at the festival? Or do they have to build them there? Or bring them from home?

You can buy kites at the festival, you can bring your own from home, or you can make them from scratch at the festival. Everybody is free to enjoy the day as they please.

Are there any competitions within the festival? If so, what are the categories?

Yes! you can win up to $500
